Do you think that sometimes when you are making a major change in your habits that there is a force that comes on strong just when you start to get results? Today has been a hard day for positive thinking...which is weird cuz it's Sunday! A day for happiness in its purest form! I need to spend some quiet time in a happy place or I'm going to have to start these 30 days over...I know! I'll read my Patriarchal Blessng!

Gina and her cute kids came to watch. We are all holding our hands over our hearts while 3 parachuters fall from the sky, one of them carrying the USA Flag! Gourgeous!
Here is Madyson holding the Russian flag. I can't believe she is old enough now to be a flag. She did a great job!
Mekenze represented India. Fun because we have ancestors from India. She always does a beautiful job.I know, I am really great photographer...:)

30 Day Challenge...end of 2nd week
I decided to wait awhile until I posted again on how my 30 day challenge was going.
I have been listening every morning to "The Strangest Secret" by Earl Nightingale. Some mornings my mind wanders, sometimes I almost fall asleep as I listen with my eyes closed in the early morning, so I have wondered if it would be able sink in, but as I have noticed little pieces of magic happening in my thought processes and in my life, I know that it is.
Probaby the first real "in my face" manifestation was when my visiting teacher came over. I never have visting teachers, but this little cute lady has come faithfully for the past 3 months. So, the magic started on Fast Sunday (2 weeks ago today...)
I had read earlier that morning from a book written by Sheri Dew called "If Life Were Easy, It Wouldn't Be Hard." The chapter was about not making life harder than it already needs to be by neglecting to pray. Pray for everything! Problems, joys, business, spirit, family....EVERYTHING! I have heard this before. In Alma we read how we should pray over our flocks and our fields for prosperity, etc, but for the first time it really made sense to me that not only is it OK to pray for business, but it is necessary to do so. So I fasted that day for the Lord to help me obey this simple yet profound truth, and I fasted for help with my business.
During Fast and Testimony meeting, I felt prompted to bare my testimony, but I pushed it aside, thinking that our ward never has a second without members running up to the pulpit for their turn...well, no one was running! In fact, we had full minutes of silence! Odd...so I bore my testimony. It actually felt good (I have maybe born my testimony once in our current ward. I haven't really let myself feel apart of the ward yet...). So, my visiting teacher catches me when Sacrament meeting is over, thanks me for my testimony, and tells me she needs to come over before the month ends. So we make an appointment...
I had almost forgotten that she was coming on the morning of our appointment, but I was actually still home when she came. We talked for awhile, and then she told me she had felt impressed to share just one paragraph from the Ensign with me. It wasn't even from the specific Visiting Teaching message; it was from the First Presidency's message by Elder Dieter F Uchtdorf. The paragraph said that it is time for me to realize my potential, and to set my goals high--but not too high..." It was amazing how much it fit in with everything I was thinking and doing and wanting.
I can't really express the power that message had on me. I don't think I ever have had someone (besides my Patriarchal Blessing) tell me that they had an impression specifically for me before. Huge testimony about how the Lord heard my prayers and that He is and will continue to answer them.
I have since felt little mind-alterings going on inside myself, helping me to change my normal routine and approaches to business and life in general. I feel my mind exploring and accepting new ideas. I even was able to get through to Wendy, my upline Executive in Heritage Makers, for some mentoring (rare that I can get through!) and she helped me to adjust my perspectives on my business goals. I have changed the date that I plan to reach Gold Director from 12/09 to 03/10...
I have also had team members coming to me with their goals and desires to move forward, some of whom I haven't heard from in a long time. Just some of the simple miracles that are occuring with this challenge of thinking positively in the direction of my goals.
**I cannot fail to mention that even before the Strangest Secret challenge, I challenged myself to go to the temple once a week. I know that the changes that have been occuring in my life, leading to and including the Strangest Secret, are DIRECTLY related to this!**

Karter is playing FOOTBALL!
It has been a long time since I have had a "little kid" involved in extra curricular activities. I forgot how cute they are! Flag football is a first for us. How funny to see little 5 year old boys thinking they are so cool, running up and down the field, having no idea what they are doing! It's fun! Karter went to his first practice and came home saying "I'm the best on the team!" And I know he isFirst game he stood and watched while other kids chased the ball and pulled the flag. He was always very excited for whichever of his team mates pulled the flag...he'd do the macho "Yes!" moves and look over at us to see if we were watching. Finally Dave told him he could pull he flag too and he said "OH!!!" It was funnythat he didn't know he could.
He really loves his coach. He makes sure he walks near him or gives him "5" as often as he can.
